Good news if you have been waiting for Ballybunion to release its 2026 visitor tee times — now is the time to start planning if your request has not already been submitted. Both the Old Course and the Cashen Course are open for online booking via the club’s official system, and there is excellent availability on the Old Course throughout the 2026 season.

We have checked the system and confirmed that there are green-fee times available across all key travel months — a welcome contrast to the usual early-season sell-out pattern at Ballybunion.
If you're targeting a 2026 Ireland golf trip, it's strongly advised to reserve your Ballybunion date now while the best slots remain.

Booking Window and Visitor Policy
Visitors are permitted to play from Monday 13th April to Friday 2nd October, excluding weekends and Irish public holidays. This represents a generous window of play compared to several other top-tier Irish links.
Tee-times can only be secured with 100% payment at the time of booking.
Cashen Course: Reopening July 2026
The Cashen Course will not open until July 2026, following a period of refurbishment. We’ll be publishing a separate article shortly outlining the updates and what to expect from the revamped layout.
Ballybunion Tee Time Availability: A Visual Snapshot
We have reviewed the club’s live availability system and created the following calendar overview, showing the visitor tee time status from April through October 2026.

Surprising September Availability
Most notably, there is strong availability throughout September 2026 — typically the busiest month for golf trips to Ireland. Post–Labor Day is especially popular with U.S. travellers, as kids are back at school and the weather remains ideal for links golf.
Finding open times at Ballybunion in September is usually a tall order — but for now, those prime dates are open.
Updates from Other Southwest Links
Dooks timesheets are open, online booking is not yet available
Tralee and Waterville tee sheets are expected to open soon, though Waterville may not release times until late May.
Lahinch is once again operating on a delayed release cycle — tee times may not be available until June or later.
Old Head is open for bookings and reporting strong demand. However, with rising member play, it's unclear how many slots remain for non-residents.
Plan Early, Play the Best
The Old Course at Ballybunion has long been one of Ireland’s most sought-after tee times — and 2026 is no exception. If you’re considering a golf trip to Ireland next year, we strongly recommend reserving your Ballybunion date as early as possible while preferred times remain available.
Now that Ballybunion's 2026 tee times are open, it’s the perfect time to plan your Ireland golf vacation.
